About us

Our mission

To educate the public about the humane care and treatment of all creatures, great and small and to advocate animal welfare, environmental consciousness and sustainability in order to further the bond between people, animals and our earth.

Our organization

The Humane Society of Dominica is a non-profit organization founded and incorporated in Dominica in 2000 and has been active since 2001.

Our Board of Directors currently reunites three dedicated volunteers:

Daniel Langlois (Director) - Ex-Centris, Montreal, Canada

Dominique Marchand (Founder, Executive Director) - The Humane Society of Dominica, New York, USA

Sidonie Vandamme (Director) - Cocorico, Roseau, Dominica

We currently employ one full-time Humane Values Educator and a part-time educator assistant.
